Medical education has remained relatively unchanged for the past several hundred years. A surgeon has text books to study from, possibly a cadaver or two to practice on, and from there they move on to the operating room to see if their efforts have proven fruitful. While of these teaching tools have been successful instruments of learning, each has its own inherent downside.

There needs to be something to cross the gap between cadaver dissections and case studies. Something that surgeons will be able to experience. eFusion Design believes it has developed such a tool.

Using a combination of media we can provide the user with a surgeon’s-eye-view of operative cases and cadaver dissections. Now, you might be asking yourself, “How is this different from teaching tools already available to surgeons?” The answer is twofold:

Stereoscopy (3D) and Interactivity

ISVR is a medical education tool. However, it is also an extraordinary marketing device.
